Open to students in S2, S3 or S4

           This course is designed to introduce students to the concepts involved in keeping a set of financial records for a service business. Computerized spreadsheets in Excel and Simply Accounting software will be used. Students will gain valuable information about managing personal finances and practices used in business.

Accounting Systems 40S                                       ACSR4S
Prerequisite: ACPR3S

           This course will satisfy the compulsory S4 Math component for graduation. The University of Winnipeg accepts Accounting as a math credit for some faculties. Red River College recognizes graduates of 40S Accounting allowing an exemption in the Business Administration program. Merchandising business accounting, bank reconciliation and cash controls are studied. Students are taught how to read and analyze financial statements to help businesses improve their profits. Computerized accounting will be used to teach the course.
