Wednesday, April 24th, 2002 marked an historic first at école secondaire Kelvin High School... at least in the annals of the decades-old tradition of excellence in Reach for the Top, the Canadian high school knowledge quiz/competition. It was on that day that Kelvin's Intermediate Reach for the Top team, composed of Senior I and II students, achieved their second provincial championship. How, then, is this a first? Here is how: Kelvin is now the proud possessor of two provincial titles simultaneously, as we are the home of Manitoba's top team both in the senior (grades 9 through 12) and the intermediate levels of play.

Kelvin's Senior Reach for the Top team won the
Provincial Championship on April 17, 2002.
The team now qualifies to travel to the nationally-televised Reach for the
Top Canadian Finals to be held this year in Edmonton, May 25 to 29.
See a school administrator to help support the team in their
quest for intellectual gold.
