Kelvin Reach for the Top Senior Team makes history by fielding two full teams for tournament play AND sending one of them to the National Finals for the 3rd time in 10 years!

  Reach for the Top is played every noon hour of the school year in room 35.  Visitors are welcome and players of all eight multiple intelligences are needed!  There is not a game that goes by that one question stumps everyone in the room but one... could that one be you?  An appeal to Reach alumni and parents:  donations (made out to Kelvin High School, memo: "Reach for the Top") will be gratefully accepted for our "Repair the Reach Buzzers" appeal... our buzzer system, which endures a punishing workout throughout the year, is in desperate need of resuscitation!  Reach (for your spare change)!  Contact John Martens <jmartens@wsd1.org>  or Raymond Sokalski <rsokalski@wsd1.org>(Kelvin faculty members) for further information.

Number One Public School in Canada!

   Season Highlights 2001/2002 Kelvin's Senior Reach for the Top team, made up of seven students in Senior 2 and Senior 4 have emerged as Canada's number one public school at the National Finals held in 2002in Edmonton, Alberta.  The team, made up of Grade 12 scholars Tyler Traeger, Rachel Gotthilf and Joel Peters-Fransen, was ably assisted by Grade 10 trivia buffs Mark Witiuk, Jon Linley, Ian Foster and Darran Hirose.
