The MLA (Modern Language Association) style is used for creating reference and bibliographies/source lists for essays in the subjects of English, French, and other languages.
Because information can be found in so many formats -- books, magazines, newspapers, movies, television programs, etc. -- it is best to check the most current edition of The MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers. It contains numerous examples of citations in correct MLA format.
