Parental Involvement

We are extremely pleased with the parental involvement within our school community.
Parental involvement starts with a strong Parent Council. The Parent Council has an elected
Chairperson, Treasurer, French Immersion Rep, South End Advisory Rep and Secretary. One or two teacher representatives, the vice principal and the principal also attend. The monthly Parent Council meetings are open to everyone within the community. These meetings are held in the evening and childcare is provided free of charge. Sub-committees are formed to provide a multitude of school-parent team connections. During the school year parents can get involved in the following activities:

Strength lies in numbers! We are always looking for more and new volunteers to assist our students and staff to make École J. B. Mitchell School the best educational setting it can be.
