Wow, I had a great time doing my Science Fair. I had been planning what I
wanted to do for more than a year. My question was, “Which kind of white cows
milk goes sour quickest”. I came up with the title, “ Sour Cream Anyone"?My
dad sure got some strange looks when he was buying 6 different kinds of milk at
the grocery store. He bought 1 of each of the following types of white cows
milk: Skim milk, 1% milk, 2% milk, Whole milk, Half and Half Cream, Whipping
Cream. Even the grocery store people thought it was strange until my dad
explained that it was for my Science Fair. My mom wants to know if next year we
could not grow weird things in the house. My mom and I cleaned out the
downstairs fridge and set up the experiment. We left the milk in the fridge and
didn't open the fridge except once every two days to rotate the milk. We did
this in case the fridge wasn't the same temperature in all of the places. When
the milk got to the “best before” date, we opened the milk and took a sniff.
None of them had gone sour. We checked each day when we got home from school. It
took more than a week after the best before date for the milk to start to go
sour. What a terrible smell! It was not a great thing having to sniff the milk
cartons every night. When a carton of milk went sour, we took it out of the
fridge. This kept it from contaminating the other samples. If I was to do this
project again, I would make sure that my hands were very clean before I started.
We had a problem with this in one sample. I would also start a lot sooner. My
milk samples nearly didn't go sour in time for my project to get done. I was
lucky that they finally went sour. I tried to convince my dad to do a taste
test, but he just wouldn't do it. I know that he eats sour cream on his perogies,
so why not try this kind on his cereal? I can't wait for next year!

My question is how do sound waves work ? My hypothesis is I think sound waves
work by you bang on something then sound waves come out. My plan is to make the
instruments then I test them to see if they work. My materials I used were a
rubber band, a plastic bottle, wax paper, a comb, glue, tape, construction
paper, and a margarine tub. My results are that sound waves can come out of
speakers and anything. Sound waves work when you bang on something and it
vibrates and it makes a sound. My hypothesis is correct. It took me 4 days to
do. If I had to do this project over again, I would make a different
background.

How long did it take you? Well, I guess it took me 2 weeks to do. It took me a
while. Who helped you? Well, my mom helped me. I did lots of work too. Any
problems you had? Well I didn't have many problems. There's this one problem I
had with what I was trying to do. I was trying to print of a picture of Coke and
Pepsi. Did you follow your plan ?Well, sort of. I only followed my plan on my
taste test. Did you have fun doing the experiment? Well yeah. I had fun. It was
sort of hard, but I don't know why. The art work is pretty nice. I really like
the art on my science project. If I was to do this project over again I would:
Change the art. Conclusion: My hypothesis was correct. My hypothesis was I
guessed that most people would be able to taste the difference between Pepsi and
Coke.

Question: Can you taste the difference between Dr Pepper and Dr. Skipper ?
Materials: marker, pencil, cardboard, paper, glue, ruler.
It took me two days to work on my project
My mom and dad helped me with my project.
My project turned out the way I wanted it to turn out.
I had lots of fun doing my project.
For art I used a paint and makers.
I made one little mistake on my project. I used to much lines.
If I were to do this project again, I would do more art work and it would be
neater.

My Question: What is the most common colour in a bag of Skittles?
My Hypothesis: LAVENDER was the most common colour in a bag of Skittles,
because it looks good.
My Plan: Empty all 5 bags of Skittles, then count them bag by bag and record the
results.
My Materials: 5 bags of Skittles, card board, markers, tape, Ziploc bags.
My Choices: Lavender, Lime, Green, Peach, Pink.
My Results: Lavender was the most common colour in a bag of Skittles (56) and
the second most common colour was lime green (43) and the least common colour
was peach pink (34 ).
Conclusion: My hypothesis was correct.

Question: Which is the most popular colour in a box of MMs.
Hypothesis: I think the most popular colour is blue because usually when I open
a bag of MMs the most common color is blue.
Plan: I plan on opening box 1 and count how much inside. Then I open box 2 and
count how much inside. Then I open box 3 and count how much inside. Then I open
box 4 and I count how much inside. Then I open box 5 and open it and count how
much inside. Then I record it and I count how much and who got the most.
Materials: pencil, paper, log book, 5 boxes of MM’s
Results: My results were that blue was the most common colour.
Conclusion: My hypothesis was correct.

My science project question is: Which bubble gum holds it's flavour ?
I worked with my mom my dad and my sister helped a little bit.
It took me one day to finish my science project. I sampled 5 different kinds of
gums.
The gum's names were Foot Long Gum, Extra, Bubblelicious Original, Bubbluicious
Grape and the last gum I sampled was Tape Gum. My hypothesis was that I thought
Bubblelicious gum would hold its flavour the longest because it has the most
kinds of sugar. My results were correct. Bubblelicious Original held its flavour
the longest.
I hope you like my science project.

My question was: 'Which toilet paper absorbs the most water out of: Scott ,
Charman, Purex, and Royal. My hypothesis is: I think Royal tissue will absorb
the most water because it looks the strongest. My materials were a measuring
cup, sink, toilet paper, and water. My plan was to fill up a measuring cup with
water to 100 ml and rip off the squares and put them into the water and see how
many squares it takes to absorb 100 ml of water. Results were: Charman won. My
Conclusion is my hypothesis was wrong.

Question: What cola is most acidic out of Pepsi, Coca Cola and Boss Cola ?
Hypothesis: I think that Coca Cola will be the most acidic because when I put
the nail in the Coca Cola a little bit of the nail flaked off.
Materials: Pencil, computer, cups, 3 cola's, log book, plastic wrap, pencil
Results: Pepsi was the most acidic.
Conclusion: My hypothesis was incorrect.
If I was to do this project again I would use Root Beer instead of Boss Cola.
It took me three weeks to finish.
I had no problems.
My mom and her boy friend helped me do my project.
I had lots of fun doing my project.

I used the scientific method. My question is which Kleenex can hold the most
coins. My hypothesis is Scotties will win because it looks thicker. I worked
with my mom and sister to complete my project. My mom made the big letters. It
took 33 hours to complete my project. I had fun doing my project when we were
taping on the wrapping paper. It took use 5 minutes to print the scientific
method. My project did follow my plan. We worked on my project for 3 hours each
day. If I was to do this project again, I would have more choices and bigger
marbles.
Ryka
I think this science project took me 5 hours. My Mom, Dad, and Reynellyn helped
me do my project. I did have a little problems with the title. I might need to
change a few things. It also took me 4 or 5 days to choose what dish soap to
use. I handed out survey sheets asking what dish soap people used at home. My
mom handed these to a few teachers, friends and people from my mom's work. From
the sheets I chose to use Sunlight and Palmolive since there was no Ivory or
Dawn. I also chose to use Dawn and Ivory. I had lots of fun doing it with my mom
& sister. To do my experiment I had 2 bottles with water & dish soap. Me & my
mom shook the bottles 10 times at the same time. My mom helped me type and print
out the paper. When it was the science fair people started to say good job.
Kristopher
I had fun doing my science project. If I did my project over I would paint my
back board. It took me 7 days to complete my science project. My mom and dad
helped me do my science project. The scientific method is Question, Hypothesis,
Plan, Materials, Results and Conclusion. I used paper to write the scientific
method on. It was fun doing my science fair project. My science project was hard
and a little easy.
Amisty
My title is which bubble gum blows the biggest. I didn't do much art work on my
project but I think the rose stands out the most because its really big and I
like the colors. The people who helped me with my project were my sister Marisa
and my auntie Tania and my koko [grandma] Elaine. My project took me two days
and 12 hours to finish my project. I followed my plan and I did buy bubble gum
but I didn't bring my bubble gum to the science fair. I had some problems with
my project because the glue used wasn't that good so I had to put some stickers
to make the cardboard stick on. I had some fun doing my project but I didn't
have paint so I had to leave the back ground white. If I were to do this project
again I would add color to my project and I would take down the rose and I would
put a lot of Art work and I would try to make my project neater. I followed my
method and I had to think a little about what I was going to.

My mom helped me with my mom and dad. It took me 2 days to do . My art work is
nice and neat.
My Question is: What popcorn pops the best ? Out of 1 Orville 2 Safeway Brand
3 No Name brand . Hypothesis: I think Orville will get the least kernels because
it was the most expensive .
My Materials: 3 brands of pop corn, a microwave, a bowl.
Results: Safeway got the least kernels .
Conclusion: my hypothesis was incorrect.
If had to do this project again I would change my art and the board.
Lekan
If I were to do this project again I would only buy one lemon and lime and use a
ruler for the writing. Question: Which is more sour lemon or lime?Hypothesis: I
think lime is more sour then lemon because lime does not look ripe.
Plan: I plan to let my family have taste of lime and lemon.
Material: construction paper, scissors, paint, cardboard, markers, cups, lime,
lemon and my family.

My Question: Which Pop Corn Pops The Best
My Hypothesis: I Think Orville Redenbacher's will Pop The Best
My Materials:3 Brands Of Popcorn, a Microwave, a bowl.
My Results: Orville Redenbacher's Got 18, Act11 - 28, Butter light Got 22
My Conclusion: My Hypothesis was correct.
It Took Me a week to do my Science Fair Project
Justice
Question: My question is what soap works the best out of Olay or Irish spring?
Hypothesis: My hypothesis is Olay work the best.
How long did it take you: 48 hours
Did you have fun doing your project: Yes
If I was to do this project again I would: Put some colour on the board and add
some more art work.

My question is: can you taste the difference between no name brand apple juice
and Sun-Rype apple juice.
My project took me 5 days to complete.
My mom worked with me on my project.
I had one problem it was that I couldn't get the apple Juice boxes to stick on
with out gluing them on.
If I was to do my project again I would start earlier so I could decorate it
more.
I did find out that people could taste the difference between no name brand
apple juice and Sun-Rype apple juice.
I had fun doing my experiment.
Laura
I worked with my Mom and my Dad and my big Sister on my project.
My Question was which one freezes faster: Hot or cold ?
My Hypothesis was cold will freeze faster because cold is more related to ice
because ice is cold and cold is cold so cold will freeze faster. And usually hot
stuff melts cold stuff.
I am most proud of my art work.
My mom and I worked very hard with a little help from Renate and my dad.
Results: I found out that cold water freezes faster than hot water.
My hypothesis was right.
