Text Box: Allergy Alert
We have a number of children at Inkster School who have a severe allergy to nut products. Even exposure to a tiny amount of a nut product could be very serious and life threatening.

We can all play a role in preventing such a dangerous and frightening situation at school. Although our children who have
severe nut allergies and their families must take responsibility to avoid exposure to nuts and nut products, Inkster School staff, other children and their families can also help to make the Inkster School environment safer.

Please check the list of ingredients on items you send to school.
Avoid sending peanuts or items containing nuts with your child to school.
Discourage your child from sharing lunch or snack foods at school.
Teach your children to respect this very serious situation; discourage teasing or
threatening of children with serious allergies.

This may be an inconvenience for you, but please realize how important your cooperation is. We would take the same care should your child have such a health care need. Thank you for your cooperation. For more information, please call me at your convenience.

Call Back System
A gentle reminder: It is important for parents to call the school if your child is going to be away. We want to ensure our children arrive at school safely.

Medications
All medications, including cold medicine, must be given to your child at home or by a parent/guardian unless a health plan has been developed between the school administrator and the parents/guardians. Please do not send medication to school with your child, without first speaking to Mrs. Intrater.

Parking
Please do not park illegally on Lansdowne, in the Staff Parking Lot or in front of the school! The safety and
well-being of all of our Inkster School students is of the utmost importance.

It would be devastating if one of our children was seriously injured by a car. We implore all parents to please
exercise common sense when picking up and/or dropping off your children.

Hats-Off Policy
Students are not permitted to wear hats in school at any time. This year we are also encouraging all adults to please remove their hats when inside Inkster School as a sign of respect, and to enhance our behavior management policy and to develop further consistency. We appreciate your support in this area.

Lost and Found Box
Please check the lost and found box often. Items not claimed will be sent to Good Will the second Friday of each month.
