Text Box: Greetings to all of our families!

A sincere thank-you goes out to those adults who have helped to keep our students safe by parking in a legal parking spot on the street and walking their child(ren) into the school. Your support and respect of our school rules is greatly appreciated. We must work together to ensure the safety of all of our children!

This month of November will bring about some changes in our staffing. As we welcome Ms. Ambaram on her return from maternity leave, we say goodbye to Ms. Marks. Thanks for your hard work and dedication to the Inkster School. We wish you all the best! We also send our best wishes to our CGC clinicians, Ms. Randall-Gryz and Ms. Hamerla who are going on maternity leave and welcome Ms. Gutierrez to our Inkster community.

Our Halloween Dance was a huge success! Everyone had a “frightfully fabulous” time! Thank-you to all of the parents, guardians, past students and Inkster School staff for volunteering and making our dance so successful! A special thanks to our Parent Council for their hard work and organization in this successful evening.

Our Remembrance Day Service will be held on November 9th at 10:45 am in the school gym. All parents and guardians are invited to attend.

The Inkster School Parent Advisory Council will host it’s 14th Annual Fall and Christmas Craft Sale on Saturday, November 24th from 9:00 am – 3:30 pm in the school gym. It is one of the most popular craft sales in the city! Admission is free! There will be a silent auction, canteen and lots of crafts to buy! Come on out and enjoy the day!

Report cards will be issued on Tuesday, November 13th. We are completing the CAP report card template as we did last year. The report card template will reflect the information that teachers have gathered from the CAP assessment and share the “next steps for programming” for your child(ren). We will also be sharing this information during our interview times on November 15th in the evening and on November 16th during the day.

We know how much our students love to read, so we will be hosting our annual Scholastic Book Sale again this year. It will take place during our Parent-Student-Teacher Conferences on Thursday, November 15th only. If you would like to purchase a book or two, please make sure to visit the sale between 4 pm and 8 pm.

I would like to remind you that there will be no school on Friday, November 2nd when our staff will be learning about the new Healthy Schools policy or and Friday, November 16th due to our Parent-Student-Teacher Conferences. The school will also be closed on Friday, November 23rd when all teachers will be attending the province-wide SAG workshops.

I would like to make you aware of a few special dates for December so that you can add them to your calendars at home. Our Winter Concerts will take place on December 18th and 19th. The last day of school before our Winter Break is Friday, December 21st.
