Text Box: We are planning on doing a spring craft with the students. To help cover the cost of the supplies, we are going to run our annual “Jar Bag” sale in mid March. More information will be coming home on that shortly. This event is always fun and the children really love it! It's a great way to clean out those old toys, and help us do crafts with the children.

We are already starting to get a waiting list for next year. Many of the current kindergarten parents have already applied for a position for their children in the Lunch Program for next year. Don't miss your chance to get your child on the list. It is a first come, first served list. Children with siblings currently in the program are NOT automatically enrolled. We must receive an application form to enrol your child. Most years we are full by the end of May or beginning of June for fall of the next school year. Don't delay! Application forms are available from Mrs. Idone.

We are currently accepting application for positions working at the Lunch Program. If you love children and have time to be at the school over the lunch hour, we would love to hear from you! It is a very rewarding job.

Hope you have a great Easter and a wonderful Spring Break!

Physical Education

Great job to all the Grade 5 & 6 Volleyball players who participated in January’s tournaments. Also, a big “thank you” to all the staff who volunteered to coach, and to our drivers. These tournaments would not be possible without you!

Grade 5 & 6 Track members will be traveling to the University of Manitoba on March 14th for a full day Track Meet.

In Physical Education classes, primary grades will be doing some tag games, and intermediate students will be trying some badminton activities.

Here are some “Healthy Living Challenge Activities” to try with your family during the month of March.

March Music News

Inkster Intermediate Choir and Honour Choirs represented our school on February 26 at the Winnipeg Music Festival. Congratulations on doing such a great job of sharing your music at the festival!

What can you do that is a special and unique talent? We want to see our talented Inkster students perform at our Talent Show, Friday, March 28. All students in the school are invited to see Mrs. Peters in the music room if you would like to try out. Auditions are starting on March 4. You can sign up to audition just for Mrs. Peters at recess or for your whole class during a regular music class. Remember that you may only perform ONE TIME in the Talent Show this year. Parents are welcome to come to the Talent Show. The show will be in two sections: at 9:30 a.m. and at 1:30 p.m. Students will perform only once and will know whether they are in the morning or the afternoon by Monday, March 24. Happy practicing!
