A special thank-you to all of our patrols (our regular patrols and our Parent patrols too!) who go outside on duty during our cold Winnipeg winter days! Please help them out by reminding your children to listen to and cross with the patrols and follow the safety rules. We must work together to ensure the safety of all of our children!
As you can see, the month of February will be a fun learning month! Stay warm and have a great month!

Inkster School Parent Council February 2008 News
Well, January was certainly a month with weather contrasts. We want to send our thanks to all of the people who stepped up and went out on patrol during the very frigid days we had in January. It was great to see our school and it's community working to keep all of the students safe.
While we are at it, we want to express our thanks to all of the Patrols who go out there everyday and help to keep the rest of the children safe as they cross at various intersections. As parents, we are very grateful for the job that they do. Our hats go off to you! We would like to show our thanks with a pancake breakfast sometime in February. Information will be sent home with our Patrols.
It was nice to have a quiet month after the December rush, but it looks like things are going to get busy again around our school. We have the Family Olympics this month, an in-service day and a brand new Provincial Holiday to celebrate. February 18th is Louis Riel Day! We hope you enjoy the day with your family.
Please note that there is a change in the date for February's Parent Advisory Council meeting. Due to scheduling conflicts, the date has been changed to February 4, 2008. It will still be at 6:30 PM in Inkster School Library. Please try to attend. This is your chance to be involved in your child's school. As always, free child care is provided.
We have an early Hot Lunch this month. It is on February 8th and will be a Pizza Day. The reason for it being so early, is to accommodate all of the various things going on in the school.
We will also be having our annual mid-winter fun night out in late March or early April, stay tuned for details.
