April Music News
Congratulations to all students who participated in the Inkster Talent Show! We really do have lots of talent in our school!
National Music Month is Monday, May 5th. On that day, schools and communities across Canada will play and sing to show the importance of music education. At Inkster School we will include singing as part of our assembly on May 5 because we are thankful we have such strong support for music at our school from the Winnipeg School Division, our school administration (thanks Mrs. Intrater!) and staff, and our parent community.
Inkster Honour Choir will be performing at the Manitoba Legislative Building on May 7 during a noon-hour concert for Manitoba Music Month. This is an exciting opportunity for them to share their music.
All Grade 4 to 6 students will be attending a Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra concert at the Centennial Concert Hall on May 14. Watch for permission forms coming home at the end of April.

Art/Poetry Club
Thank you to all the students who participated in the Art/Poetry Club during the month of February and March. You all wrote wonderful poems and the art work you created looks spectacular! Some of your work is on display on the bulletin boards by the office and by Room 36. Ms. Ambaram

Butterfly Pretty colourful butterfly hiding under the stairs I took it and went up the stairs, I showed it to my Grandpa And he told me that I could keep it, So I wore it back home And showed it to my mom and dad And they said that I should show it to my brother. He said “I really like it” Alexis |
