Inkster School is a unique multi-ethnic community school in the North End of Winnipeg with a long history and tradition of serving the community and its children. Inkster School is our special home away from home! It is a place where CHILDREN COME FIRST! Our classrooms are filled with the bright smiles of 327 children, 47 dedicated staff members and numerous energetic volunteers. Inkster School is comprised of classes in Nursery through grade six, as well as an integrated Adaptive Skills Program and an Autism Program. We pride ourselves in offering a diverse and inclusive environment that portrays “excellence in education” and fosters an acceptance and understanding of other cultures. We provide multi-level programming that addresses each individual’s strengths and weaknesses in order to ensure that our children are academically challenged and guided in developing the attitudes and qualities necessary for future success. Our active parents and excellent Parent Advisory Council continuously work in partnership with the school to support our children, through volunteering to raise funds for technology, physical education equipment, camp and field trips. The Parent Advisory Council is also responsible for collaborating with the school in holding a number of successful community events.
