A Place in My Heart
The love that we once
shared,
was like a flame that burned among one another.
We thought we were prepared,
but the flame extinguished between each other.
Every night I would think of you,
imagining that we would always stay true.
I had given my heart away,
hoping that you would stay.
Promises is all I used to hear,
and losing you was my worst fear.
I still remember that dreadful day,
when I could feel my life crumble away.
The nightmare that has now been placed,
was far to much for me to face.
I thought my life would be at an end,
when you said we could only be friends.
It was nobody's fault for what we've been through,
even though I still love you.
You mean the world to me,
even though we could never be.
When I was with you,
it was like a dream come true.
You had showed me the meaning of true love,
and it felt like being up in the heavens above.
I know you don't have the same feelings,
but I hope you find these words appealing,
I love you even though we're apart,
my undying love for you will always have a place in my heart.
