The Family Man: A Mini-Bio of Michael Jordan

Michael is married to Junita Vanoy Jordan. They met in early 1985, during his rookie season with Chicago. Juanita was working in a loan office. They met at a restaurant.
The Jordans have three kids: Jeffery, Marcus, and Jasmine. All three kids have December birthdays. Jeffery was born in 1988, Marcus was born in 1990, and Jasmine was born in 1992.
Michael adores his kids. “I have three beautiful kids-those are my trophies. They’re the most important thing to me,” he says.
The Jordan family lives in a big new house in Highland Park, Illinois. It is only a few miles from the Chicago Bulls practice center. A gate keeps out uninvited visitors. The gate has the number 23 on it, even though that’s not the actual number of the house on the street.
The Jordan have several phone lines. Michael answers only one of the lines. It has a number that he gives out only to a few people he allows to be close to him, such as very good friends, his coach, and some business partners. The other phone lines are used by the family.
