Movie Reviews
by Matt D. and Guilbert M.

(Starring Martin Lawrence and Luke Wilson):

Matt’s Review:

A busted bank robber (Martin Lawrence), puts a 17 million dollar diamond in a not yet built LAPD building.  To get the diamond back he has to act, speak, walk, and look like a cop named Miles Logan.  Miles has to go though a number of obstacles
such as being in a liquor mart robbery, getting dumped by his chick, solving a drug string, and dodging bullets shot by his ex-friend Diaz.  But in the end it all works out,
“Believe Dat!”
The movie’s sayings and catch phrases were pretty funny, action was mild, and the story line was good. There was an opening for a sequel, that I would go and see.

Guilbert’s Review:

A hilarious movie to watch (cause “it’s like tha”).  Martin Lawrence did a marvelous job.  He was funny, and brilliant.  It is one of the funniest movies I’ve watched this year.  (“Believe dat.”)  Though it had some dull parts, Lawrence brought it together.  There was an opening for a sequel, but I don’t think a sequel would be equally funny.  But I would go see it, just to see what Miles Logan does next.  But before the sequel I would recommend seeing the first one, Blue Streak.

Matt’s Review:

A child counselor (Bruce Willis) comes across a boy who has a remarkable power: he can see dead people.  As the boy tries to understand his power, Willis comes along to try to help and protect him.  There were great special effects.  It’s really an “Alright shut-up, I’m trying to watching the movie!” kinda movie.  Also lots of suspense.

Guilbert’s Review:

The movie takes place during the gulf war.  It’s about four guys looking for Sadam’s gold, which he stole from Quite.  When the war was over and Quite was free, Iraq was still not a free country, people are still getting slaughtered.  How does the “Three Kings” fit in you ask?  Well along the way of finding the gold, they help these people from Iraq, and one person died.  And at the end it’s the same old story they help the people and whoopdeedoo!  I think this movie could have been better.  While I watching the movie most of the time I was worrying about the toppings on my popcorn.  Well I didn’t pay to worry about my popcorn.  The movie had a story, the movie had it’s moments, but when the movie ended it made me feel like I had been ripped off.  It is hardly the best movie of the year, and if you want to see a good movie I don’t recommend you watching “Three  Kings.”  But if you want to see a war movie without the “Private Ryan” bloody mess, I would recommend you seeing this.  If you just need to see a movie, turn your back, save your money, and wait for a great movie.  “We three kings be stealing the gold.”  yeah right, the only thing you stole was my money.
