Greetings from the Greenway School Student Body by Victoria, Grade 6, Room 202
Welcome everybody to Greenway School. It's an honour for me to be here talking to all of you and representing all the students in the school. I would like to thank all of you for taking your time to come here for the official opening of our school. I would especially like to thank Mr. Drzystek, our principal, the Parent Council, and everyone who supported the building of the new school for us so everybody can enjoy it. When we were saying farewell to the old school it was a very sad experience for all of us, but today when the new school is going to be officially opened we are all delighted to be here experiencing this wonderful moment. We will always treasure and remember all the fun and sad times that we had at the old Greenway School. The new school is terrific for lots of reasons. Before, in the old school, people with disabilities couldn't attend. But now everybody can attend our school and no one is left out. There are a lot of things that the old school didn't have, but the new school does - like a bigger gym, better classrooms, a project room, a high-tech computer lab and a large carpeted music room. The old school was showing signs of its long use but the new school is lovely, bright and very attractive. It feels great just being in it. Lots of important learning is happening now in this pleasant atmosphere and I know that this will continue.I hope that you will remember this wonderful day. I know that this very exciting and precious moment will always remain in my memory. I really enjoyed talking to all of you today and I hope that you'll have a pleasant visit to our school. Thank-you. |
