Dear Little Joe,
How is Mom and Dad? I got to Neptune yesterday. I am living in a big crater. I am the first boy who has landed on Neptune. I can't see earth but I can barly see Pluto with one of our telescopes. I can jump prety high. I want to go to one of the moons of Neptune. I have to use a gas mask. We had trouble landing but I am safe now. I want to come home but I am having so much fun.
At first I thought that Neptune was all water but it is made up of many gases. Neptune is nothing like Earth. It gets very cold at night. It is hard to eat in the space shuttle becaues my food floats in the air.
I met a little Martian. He is an explorer from a far galaxy. I can not understand what he is trying to say. He did not know what a T.V.was. It was funny. See you at home in one month.
