Room 227 - Plains Indians Tipis

The Plains Indians built homes to suit their needs. They needed to move several times during the year to follow the path of the buffalo and the cycle of the seasons. The tipi could be easily taken down and moved with them. Click on the outer circles below to read more about what we have learned, and to see more of our drawings and photographs.
