The Taj Mahal is found at Agra in northern India . It is made of white marble and rests on a platform of red sandstone. It is 36.6m high. It is one of the most beautiful and expensive tombs in the world. Shah Jahan had it built for his wife, Mumtaz Mahal , who died in 1629 .
