The Taj Mahal is in Agra in northern India. The Taj Mahal is made of white marble on a platform of red sandstone. The height is 36.6m. It is one of the most beautiful and expensive tombs in the world. Shah Jahan had it built for his wife, Mumtaz Mahal, who died in 1629.
