The Taj Mahal is located in Northern India. It is made of white marble and rests on a red sandstone. The building is 36.6 metres high. The bodies of Shah Jahan and his wife lie in a vault below. Visitors can see the monuments through a carved alabaster screen. It took 20,000 builders to build the Taj Mahal.
