The Taj Mahal is found at Agra in northern India. It is made of white marble and rests on a platform of red sandstone . It is 36.6 m. high. It is one of the most beautiful and expensive tombs in the world. Shah Jahan had it built for his wife, Mumtaz, who died in 1629.
