This is an example of an Inuit applique wall hanging by Jessie Oonark. It is made by putting embroidery on cloth. It shows a shovel, two people, faces and a girl with an apron on her coat. This was important to the Inuit because with faces they can see and with a shovel they can make homes.
This is an applique wall hanging. I made it by tracing a picture on a piece of paper and then sewing it on fleece. It shows a mosquito. I made it because the mosquitoes always attack the caribou. by Nick |
