Fast Facts About Igloos

1. Igloo means home in Inuit.

2. The dome shape provided a strong foundation and keeps heat inside.

3. By moving upward in a spiral shape to form a dome. Igloos are made of sod and stone but most likely it will be made of snow.

4. Inside an igloo it has a platform with  a stove and fur that people slept on. It took 2-3 hours to build an igloo.

5.The Inuit people made a dome shape house because it kept the people warm inside.

6. Inuit used a snowknife, snowbeater, snow shovel and a snow pro.

8. Igloos are built in winter. Now they are for fun.
