Domes can be used as roof or for whole buildings. A dome is like an upside down bowl. Domes curve in all directions. 3. The snow has to be crunchy and hard-packed that can be cut into solid blocks. There is only one room in an igloo. It looks very cold but it is warm. It takes 3 or 2 hours to build an igloo. Igloos heat up with body heat. 4. Inuit people build dome-shaped homes because domes are strong and more roomy. 5. Igloos have been built in the Arctic and Nunavut. 6. Inuit people use tools to build igloos. The tools are snow knives and shovels. They use clear ice to build windows.
