Arctic Images -Inuit Structures by Room 222

This project is part of a grade 3 study of other communities, specifically Inuit communities. Ms. Langtry's class completed an intensive study of the Arctic. Students created and interpreted original Inuit structures, specifically igloos, to gain an understanding of how Inuit structures reflect the Inuit environment and values. Furthermore, by reading the student work, you will learn how the strength and stability of igloos are linked to the properties of the material used and to the particular way an igloo is constructed. Enjoy!
