Arctic Habitat

It's found in Canada, Alaska, Europe and Asia. It's called the Arctic tundra because it's so close to the north pole. It's covered by snow half the year.

The temperature doesn't get high in the summer. The summers are very short. The ground is frozen 30 cm. deep even in the summer. It has dwarf trees. There are flowers and grass in the summer. There are lots of icebergs in the ocean. The water is really cold.

It's flat. It's icy. There are blizzards in winter. It's really cold. It looks white and is bright. There are no trees.

People hunt for polar bears, seals and walruses.
