Killer Whale
Arctic Habitat
It's cold in winter. It has icebergs. It's all most treeless. It's icy. The temperature does not get high in summer. Summers are short.
Appearance
The killer whale is a very big mammal. They are black with white marks on the bottom of its body. It has sharp teeth. It also has a dorsal fin, swimming flippers and a tail to steer with.
Food of Killer Whale
Salmon is like chocolate to the killer whale. It also eats other whales like the graywhale and belugas. It also eats seals. It eats almost anything that lives in the ocean or close to shore.
Enemies
People are the whale's enemies.
Adaptations
The killer whale has a thick layer of fat and it's called blubber.
Interesting Facts
When a killer whale is trapped their dorsel fin will curve a bit. Whale's don't like loud noise . A factory ship can kill more whales in 2 years than the Inuit can in 100 years. A calf can weigh 180 kg. when it's born.
