Graphic Communication

Grade 7
Students are introduced to design concepts which they use in developing projects utilizing computer graphics, manual graphics and airbrushing.

Grade 8
The grade 8 graphics course is intended to expand on the knowledge base and skill sets learned in Grade 7 graphics. Students will be focusing on individual designs using a vast variety of mediums.

Graphics 15G
This half credit course covers a wide range of graphic communication topics. Students will learn to use individual design processes to create projects including manual drawings, airbrushing, digital photography and computer graphics, CAD/CAM and videography.

Graphic Communication/Design Technology 20G
Graphic Communication/Design Technology area is used in conjunction with the Technology Resource Center to provide students with both hands on and computer-aided opportunities. Students will be introduced to mechanical drawing, computer graphics and design and a neon component of videography.


 

 
 
 

Graphic Communication/Design Technology 30G and 40S
At these two advanced levels of drafting and design technology, students advance their drafting and design knowledge through both mechanical and computer drawings. Students develop more complex projects utilizing cutting edge computer programs, research and advanced mechanical drawing techniques. A new component of this course will be videography and video editing.
