Assignments
- Play with the flash animation on this page to learn about magic squares. Then attempt this magic square puzzle whose magic number is "30" (the rows and columns must add up to 30). Copy your answer down and bring it to class with you on Monday Sept 8th!
- This is not a simple problem! Play with it for a while, but don't spend an hour trying to solve it, unless you're enjoying the puzzle!! (Hint:One line or column has pieces 6,7,8 and 9 in it, and the outside edges of the puzzle don't have to be "smooth". There is more than one answr to the puzzle, apparently!)
