-most parents are shocked at the 1st sight of their infant

-hair varies from abundant to scanty

-hair covers head and body especially the back

-hair colour may be temporary

-size differs- 7-8 lbs and 20 inches but not unusual to be between 3 and 16 lbs and 17 to 22 inches.

-boys are often larger than girls.
