Karine’s favorite hobby is mountain climbing. She started when she was eight or nine

years old. She loves to climb. I love to climb; just not mountains.

When Karine Began Snowboarding

Karine began snowboarding in 1989 because it is her favourite sport. Her parents wanted

her to try it . Karine was a ski racer before she was a snowboarder. She began

snowboarding at the age of sixteen. She won five of eight World Cups Giant Slalom

races and was named ski racing magazine’s first female snowboarder of the 1994-1995

season.

About Karine

Karine was born January 4, 1979. She is 23 years old. She won a silver medal at this

year’s winter olympics.

Why I Chose To Research About Karine Ruby

I chose to reasearch about Karine Ruby because I was looking on the Saltlake 2002

website and looked at the snowboarding category. I looked at all of the snowboarders and

I saw Karine. I thought that Karine was good so I chose her.
