Head Into Nagano
Kwan beat Tara Lipinski at the 1998 U.S nationals.
1998 Games
Seventeen-year-old Kwan, at the 1998 Olympics, was the gold medal
favourite for those Games. In Nagano, Michelle skated cautiously and took
the silver medal behind 15-year-old Lipinski.
Post Nagano
Michelle has won three out of her four world titles after Nagano. She lived
in the dorms of U.C.L.A for a year and she said she was no stranger there.
Pre Nagano
Michelle won her first world title at the age of 15. In 1996 she defended
that title. She was the first runner up next to Lipinski.
Why I Chose Michelle Kwan
I chose Michelle Kwan because she is one of my favourite figure skaters
besides Jamie Sale and David Pelletier. Also because she is a very good
Figure Skater.
What I Thought Was Interesting About Michelle Kwan
What I think is interesting about Michelle Kwan is her medals. I never knew
she had so many. I also never knew that she won four world titles, five
national titles and an Olympic silver medal. Thats alot of medals.
Even
though she won bronze at the Winter Olympics this year, I still think she
is
very good. I also never knew she has been a figure skater for 22 years!
Thats a long time!
