Jennifer Robinson

Why I Chose Jennifer Robinson

The reason why I chose Jennifer Robinson is because I like the way she looked and because she is a figure skater. I wanted to do a figure skater because I love skating. I also chose Jennifer Robinson because I like the way she looked. Her picture on the computer showed her putting her hands out and lifting her leg up with her foot in the air. I liked that. These are the reasons I chose to research about Jennifer Robinson.

Jennifer Robinson lives in Barrie,Ontario in Canada. She is female and her birthday is December 2nd, 1976. She was born in Goderich,Ontario. Her height is 1.7m or 5’7”. She weighs 55 kilograms or 127 pounds. Her disipline is figure skating and the event she competes in is Ladies Figure Skating for her country Canada.

Highs And Lows

Jennifer Robinson has been competing at senior-level events since 1995. She placed a career-best eighth at the 2000 World Championships in Nice, France. It was also the best result for a ladie Canadian figure skater since Josee Chouinard placed fifth at the 1994 World Championships held in Chiba, Japan. Robinson struggled at the 2001 World Championships in front of her home crowd in Vancover,Canada. She finished 15th after touching her hands on the ice three times during her free skate.

Training And Music

Entering the 2001-2002 season Jennifer won four Canadian senior national titles, including three in a row from 1991-2002. She placed 10th at the World Junior Chamionships in 1994. Jennifer is coached by Michelle and Doug Leigh at the Mariposa school of skating in Barrie,Canada. Jennifer’s choreographer is Lori Nichol. The Music for her Olympic-Year program which was a short program is Alfred Newman’s “Street Scene”. It was the first piece of music that Jennifer listened to when she started looking for music for her short program. Nichol was wary of picking music so quickly, but Robinson insisted. In her free skate, Jennifer performs to Franz Lizzt’s Liebestraum, depicting a bride as she walks down aisle. Her most difficult skill is a Triple Schalchow-Triple loop combination, the second element in her free skate.
