The Primary Language Centre classroom at Gladstone School in Winnipeg, Manitoba was studying a science unit on adaptations and habitats. Mr. Robert Wheeldon came to the school in November, 2002. He is in charge of Parkland Mews Falconry and Bird of Prey Education Centre. Mr. Wheeldon brought Holly the Falcon to our classroom to help us identify physical and behavioural adaptations of animals and how these adaptations help them to survive in a specific habitat. The students were an enthusiastic audience and learned many facts about Peregrine Falcons. Below are the stories and pictures we made. Click on our name to see our work.
