Stain Remover

My name is Joy Dipasupil, my partner's name is Mabel Cayabayab. Our title is STAIN REMOVER, we did the experiment by washing cause the stain.

We both chose this topic because we want to find out which detergent take off all the stain.

Our problem for the experiment, what is the effect of different stain removers on a stain left behind on a white T-shirt? Our prediction for the experiment was we believe that sunlight will have the best effect on removing the ketchup, cola, soy sauce and egg.

OUR METHOD ARE:

Step1: First we find old white shirt and but the ketchup, soy sauce ,egg and cola.

Step2: Cut the old white shirt. Make sure its the same measurement.

Step3: Put the ketchup, soy sauce, egg, cola and spread out all over the white T-shirt by using a teaspoon measuring.

Step4: Let it dry for 1 hours or 2 hours.

Step5:After it is dry get a measuring cup for the water and the different kinds of detergents.

Step6: When your done doing the experiment turn your result.

OUR MATERIALS:

Sunlight, Tide, No name: type of detergents

-strips of old white t-shirts

-water

-ketchup, cola, soy sauce, and egg

-teaspoon measuring

-pencil

-paper

-watch

From during this project we found out that some fabrics have more stain tha others. We also found out that tide is the best brand to use when using detergents.

For the experiment, our hypothesis was not correct. The tide detergent took all the stain. By doing this project we learned that, in the future we should try to use the tide detergent.

My partner and I, we think the easiest part of science fair is doing the experiment because we just have to wash the stain left behind. The hardest part is when we have to the research about all the different kind of stain and how were going to take it out. Yes , My partner and I was surprise when were doing the experiment because we thought that sunlight was going to work better, but then Tide take off all the stain in the white shirt.

We think we did a pretty good job on our project. We didn't know that we were going to get silver.

Our science fair project could be improved by putting more details on our backboard.

The most important think that we learned from participating in science fair is to cooperate more.
