My name is Alex T. and I have no partner. My project is called Boiling Water and Salt. In my project I will try to find out if salt will affect Boiling Water.
I chose this topic to work on because I wanted to find a faster method to cook noodles.
My problem was does salt affect the boiling temperature of water ?My hypothesis was ,yes. It will affect the boiling water.
First thing you would have to do is get all your materials. Then boil two cups of water in different pots then check the temperature with a thermometer and record. My materials were 2 pots,a thermometer, salt, distilled water, rubber gloves and tablespoon.
My results were the salt made the water boil more.
In conclusion my hypothesis was correct, Salt did affect the boiling temperature of water. This project can be useful in the future to chefs because if they want to cook something faster they could add salt.
The easiest part of science fair was getting the rewards. The hardest part of science fair was finding a topic to work on. No. There were no discoveries.
I think I done pretty well. I could have improved my project by taking more time to find research but instead I didn't.
I thought the science fair had no flaws.
I learned that public speaking is very important in life because if you didn't have that skill and you were trying to get a job what would you say to the man if you were trying to convince him that you were the right man for the job!
