High Flyin

Our project is about Rotocopters and how long it takes to reach the floor. We made eight design and then we dropped it at 2m. high. We made a small design, big design, a design with a tail on it and we made a design that has a different wing shape.

Problem:

We are trying to find out which rotocopter design has the slowest time to reach the floor.

Hypothesis:

We hypothesized that if the wings were designed like a parachute, it will use the air to slow it down.

Materials:

To make a Rotocopter, you'll need paper, paperclip, ruler, pencil, and tape.

Procedure:

1. The first thing we did was marking the shape of the rotocopter on a white piece of paper.

2.The next thing we did was cut the design out and folded the base of the rotocopter.

3.Then we bended the wings north to south, and we put on the paperclip on the base and then we test form two meter high.

Application:

This will help people design better propellers for helicopters intended for landing. And such design that is similar for other machines.

Results:

Our results wasn't good. The slowest time for the rotocopter to reach the floor from two meter-height was four seconds.
