Lasers through colored water

My name is Leslie and my partner's name is Chansamone. Our project is called Lasers through colored water. Our belief was that the Laser beam would go through a certain color.

We chose this topic because we heard this idea from a friend, and we thought that this project would give us a gold ribbon.

Our purpose is to see the affect of a Laser beam through a certain color. Our hypothesis is that we predict the Laser beam would go through clear and red water.

The method we used was that we put equal amount of water in 5 cups. Then we drop different food colouring in each cups and shine the laser beam through each cups. The materials we used are one laser pointer. 5 cups. 4 different food colouring.

Our results are that the Laser beam only went through the red food colouring and not the others.

Our hypothesis was incorrect, it only went through red but not clear normal water. We think that our project is good for improving and removing weapons, other lasers and more.

The easiest part of the Science Fair was pasting the things we need for the backboard. The hardest part was looking for the materials like the laser pointer.

We think we did ok on this project because we followed the Scientific Method but if we do more research we could improve our project.

The Science Fair we had could be improved by better backboards because we saw other projects that are crowded with paste up research.

The important thing we learned was that the judges were nice and we saw projects similar to ours. And we learned that our project needed improving because the judges gave us pointers on this project.
