Problem: What kind of music effects how a person works.

Hypothesis: We think the students would work better if there is no music.

Apparatus: -20 tests (type 1) -20 tests (type 2)

-20 tests (type 3) -20 tests (type 4) -20 tests (type

5) -20 students -4 types of songs (Classical, R&B,

Country, and Techno) -clock/timer -listening station

Method:

1. Make five types of tests.

2. Make five groups of students, each having four students.

3. Take a group out to do a test.

4. Start stereo before letting students start their tests.

5. Let students start their tests.

6. Stop students when their time (1 minute and 30 seconds) expires.

7. Collect tests.

8. Correct their test while the next group is doing a different test.

9. Record results.

10. Repeat process five times with each group, giving them a different test every time.

Observation: NO MUSIC: 5/20 people do better.

R&B: 3/20 people do better.

TECHNO: 5/20 people do better

COUNTRY: 3/20 people do better

CLASSICAL: 3/20 people do better

Conclusion: We found out most people do better when they're listening to Country music.

Application: Our application is to prove what kind of music should be used while someone is doing their work.
