DOG vs. ROBOT DOGS
Opening Thoughts: I wonder which dog or techno dog will be better? A German shepherd, wiener dog, poo-chi, chow chow, aibo, or a I-cybie?
Question: Which will be better a dog (any kind) or a techno dog (any)?
Problem Statement: What is the effect of different types or brands of dogs and techno dogs on how well they can be used or be trained.
Hypothesis: I believe that a German shepherd will be the best dog.
Hypothesis#2: I believe that the aibo will be the best robot dog.
Hypothesis#3: I believe that the German shepherd will be the best out of all of them.
Materials: computer, internet, CD rom (encyclopaedia 2000)
pictures,, printer, encyclopaedias
Method:
Step#1- Pick three dogs and three techno dogs
Step#2- Use a cd rom or internet
Step#3- Find pictures of the three dogs and three techno dogs
Step#4- Find the info for the three dogs and three techno dogs
Step#5- Make three surveys one for dog, techno dog, and one for the one that had the most in each survey.
Step#6- Paste the info, pictures, survey, and the total number of votes on the backboard.
Step#7- Make a copy of pictures, surveys, and the total number of votes and put in the duo tang.
Results:
In dog German shepherd had the most votes.
In techno dog Aibo had the most votes.
In the finals German shepherd had the most votes.
So dogs are better.
Observation: senses
During the survey I heard that if my project is on for people who likes dogs, but they have allergies. During the survey one person said he likes this kind of dog because it can guard people.
Interpretation of the Observations:
In dog German shepherd had the most votes.
In techno dog Aibo had the most votes.
In the finals German shepherd had the most votes.
So dogs are better.
Source of error:
Hard to find information and pictures of techno dogs. And some argument on which dog is better, and which techno dog is better.
Conclusion: Through this experiment we did a survey on dogs and robot dogs. On the dog survey, the most votes went to German shepherd. On the robot dogs, the most votes went to aibo. On the last survey between the German shepherd and the aibo, German shepherd got the most votes. I accept my hypothesis, the best out of techno dogs and dogs is German shepherd.
Application: For real I would go to a pet shop and do my survey there and then I would go to a electronic stores and ask some people what kind of techno dog you like.
Closing Thoughts:
This project on dogs VS. Robot dog went very well at the end most people picked German shepherd and most people picked aibo. Through out this experiment the best out of all is a dog which is a German shepherd.
