Faraday Helping Haiti

As you are all aware, the country of Haiti experienced a devastating earthquake on January 12th.  Millions of people are now living without shelter, food, and clean water.  Large-scale relief efforts are being made by other countries, but essential supplies are still very limited.  Faraday School would like to be a part of these relief efforts.

The Relief Kit below contains valuable personal hygiene supplies that are needed by these traumatized families.  Not only will they help relieve the discomfort of families who have had their homes and personal belongings destroyed, the kits will help bring a sense of hope and humanity to the Haitian people.  Compassion is something we can all give just by contributing to a kit.

Our goal is that every classroom will make up one complete kit.  In order to do this, each student will choose an item that they would like to purchase.  The school will contribute by purchasing the large items required for each kit.  If students would like to bring in more than one item or make a cash donation towards making additional relief kits, it would be gratefully accepted.

Your son/daughter will bring home a note stating what he/she would like to bring.  Please have all items in to the school by Friday, February 12th.

Thank you in advance for your support.  Together, we can help make a difference.

Sincerely,

The Staff of Faraday School
