SUGGESTIONS FOR PARENTS
bulletFocus on your child’s strengths.  All children, like adults, learn in different ways.
bulletAsk your children about their school day.
bulletSign your child's agenda and help him or her to remember the routines of school and home.
bulletEncourage your child to read each day or read with them or to them each day.  Reading is enjoyable, but it is also hard work for children.  Provide your child with encouragement and praise.
bulletMaintain a regular bed time for children.  Learning is hard work and it is helpful if children come to school well rested and on time.
bulletConsider giving your children a book as a present. The Scholastic Book order brought home each month has good books and good bargains.
bulletVisit a library with your child routinely.
bulletContact the teacher if you are concerned about your child’s progress.
bulletSometimes homework may be given or work that is not completed sent home.  Please look in the agenda for my note regarding the work and support me in making sure that your child completes it and returns it.
