Motivating Children to Read

Mr. Le Grand believes in the importance of literacy for all. Over the last seven years he has challenged the students, staff and community of Faraday School to read like they never have done before. Each and every year the total number of books read has increased to over 25 000 books read in a month.

Students loan up to eight library books per cycle. We have no loss and only a few late returns. Books are treasured and loved by all students. Our library is overflowing with good quality children's literature and current non-fiction research books. Reading is celebrated daily in every classroom at Faraday School.

What will be the next challenge? Get in lots of reading practice everyday.
