Dear Parents/Guardians:

Wow!  We certainly went from no snow on the ground to winter conditions in the blink of an eye.

A big thank you to all the parents that supported their child’s education by coming out for Parent/Teacher interviews.  There is little doubt that your support of Faraday and your child’s teacher strengthens what happens in the classroom on a daily basis.  Please continue to talk to your son/daughter on a daily basis about what and how they did at school to show them you care about their experiences at Faraday and support them in their education.

If you were unable to come to our Parent/Teacher interviews because of the weather conditions on Thursday or Friday, Nov. 25 & 26 please phone your child’s teacher to set up a time that is convenient for both you and the teacher.  Keep in mind you don’t have to wait until the next report card to discuss your child’s education at Faraday.  Feel free to call your child’s teacher or myself if you have any questions at any time of the school year.

Just a reminder that our Happy Holidays Concert will be on Thursday, December 16 at 1:30 and 6:30 and includes all students.  Everyone is already rehearsing their songs to make this year’s concert very special.

Please make sure that your child is dressed for the weather conditions of the day.  December can bring delightful days of sunshine and warmth as well as bone chilling -35 degree temperatures with mind numbing north winds blowing snow in your face.  At times like these your child needs a parka, mitts, scarf, hat and good winter boots.

Also make sure to mark your child’s name or initials on their outdoor clothing.  Each year we end up with piles of outdoor clothing that sits in our Lost and Found unclaimed.  If the clothing had a name or initials somewhere on it we would be able to return it.

The teachers, educational assistants, custodians, secretaries, Child Guidance Clinic, administration and volunteers of Faraday wish all the families of the Faraday community a joyful and festive Holiday Season!!
