Prior to beginning the project, a PowerPoint template was developed for the students to use.

Title Page The students were challenged to design an eye-catching title page. The side bar contains a number of action buttons that allow the viewer to navigate through the entire portfolio. The use of audio, video, and graphics was encouraged.

The All About Me Slide This slide is self-explanatory. |

Letter to Viewers This slide was completed after the portfolios were ready for a first viewing. The students could either follow this format, or come up with their own letter to their viewers. |

The Student Projects Slide This table is actually an Excel spreadsheet which contains several action buttons that are hyperlinked to both the student's work samples and another slide which contains the student's comments about the technology skills they have acquired as a result of creating their portfolio. The view project hyperlink is often used to open up the student's work samples that have been created in a variety of programs such as Excel, Word, Works, etc. |

Viewer's Comments Slide This slide is used to give the viewer directions about how to leave their comments. The action button at the bottom is hyperlinked to a Word Document where the viewer may leave their name, date, and their comments about the student's work. |

Student's Comments Slide This is an example of how the students were to record the technology skills they acquired as they worked on their portfolios. Student comments were required for each of their work samples they chose to include in their portfolios. Each of the slides is hyperlinked from the table on The Student's Projects Slide. |

Components Checklist This slide is basically used by the students to keep track of the number and type of work samples they are required to include. It also serves to remind them that they must include all of their rough drafts, process notes, students comments and, most importantly, a self-reflection on each of the work samples they have chosen to include in their portfolios. |
More information will be made available as this project progresses.
