Joanne Anderson started her schooling at LaVerendrye School, a school several short blocks from Earl Grey. As junior high classes were not offered at Laverendrye, Joanne made her way to Earl Grey to attend junior high. Like most teenagers, Joanne had a close knit group of friends.

Joanne graduated from Earl Grey in 1965 and then headed off to Tec Voc High School where she took a variety of business and secretarial courses. After her high school graduation, Joanne was employed by Great West Life as a secretary.

Joanne married her high school sweetheart, Barrie Perrin, and together they have raised three children; Brett, Julie, and Kent.

Joanne returned to Earl Grey School in 1990 as a teacher's assistant. Joanne's daughter, Julie, is now a teacher, and is currently teaching the students in one of our Alternative (Gr.'s 4, 5, & 6) classrooms. In March, Julie will be heading off to teach in London, England.
