Every year Earl Grey School holds an annual event called Young Scientists' Days.  During this event, students in grades seven and eight set up and conduct a number of science experiments which incorportate the use of a variety of scientific probes and sensors.  The data from these experiments is collected via a computer interface.  The data collected can  then be displayed, manipulated, compared, and analayzed.  The experiments conducted during this event are kept very simple so that the younger members of our learning community who attend the event can participate and learn more about the world around them.  This year, students at the grade four, five, and six levels will also be conducting several of the experiments.

This years Young Scientists' Days is scheduled for March 21 & 22 in the school's Hewlett Packard Technology Centre on the third floor.   Members of the community are cordially invited to attend and observe our "Young Scientists" in action!  For more information, phone the school at 474-1441.

The pictures below were taken during last year's event.

Experiments included: How Scientists Map the Ocean Floor, Can Heat be Produced by Friction?, Can Sound be Seen?, and How Hot is Hot?
