THE CANADIAN OLYMPIC ASSOCIATION (COA)
The COA is responsible for all aspects of Canadas involvement in the Olympic and The Pan American Games. The COA provides financial support, services and leadership to the Canadian sport community. It provides assistance to athletes, coaches and to sport federations.
The COA has a small staff and relies heavily on volunteers and sports partnerships. The COA made 94 million dollars from the Calgary Olympics and it uses this money to help set up programs for athletes. The COA represents Canada on the IOC Commission. The mission of the COA is dedicated to developing and advancing sport and the Olympic Movement for all Canadians from coast-to-coast-to-coast.
