AWARDS
SchoolNet's Network of Innovative Schools is a unique project that recognizes schools using Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in meaningful and imaginative ways to improve learning. The Network helps to ensure students, educators and community members are prepared for the challenges and opportunities of information and communications technology for learning.
In 1999, Earl Grey School was chosen as one of only 24 schools from across Canada to become a member of the Network of Innovative Schools. In 2000, an additional 30 schools were chosen to join this project. Click on the logo to visit the NIS website to learn how your school can apply for membership.

The staff and students of Earl Grey School are not only honoring the veterans in their community with the PowerPoint Presentation, We Remember, they are also sharing it with the world at this web site. Take time to share their work with your students in honor of the veterans who will be gathering in their communities on November 11, Veterans' Day in the United States and Remembrance Day in Canada. Their presentation is an excellent example of how our students can honor the legacy of the past with the technology of the future. If possible, invite veterans to also be present for this presentation. Their reflections upon this production, and their personal stories, would certainly touch the hearts of all students and teachers.
The staff and students of Earl Grey are to be congratulated for a job well done! They have allowed all of us to appreciate the supreme sacrifice that has been made on behalf of the freedom we enjoy...lest we forget!
